Our Purpose:
Desert Streams Baptist Church is to be a local church ministry that accurately displays the goodness and the excellence of our God.
Our Objectives:
- Exalting the Lord Jesus Christ
- Submitting ourselves to the authority of God's Word
- Calling the Believer to Change
- Reinforcing the family
Our History:
We held our first service in February, 2008. God brought Desert Streams Baptist Church into being. He did so through the prayers of some current and past Yumans, the prayers and gifts of several churches and individual believers who reside on the east coast and in Arizona, and the leading in the heart and mind of Gary Kramer, the current pastor of DSBC. PLANT America assisted in the formation of this ministry and Mountaintop Baptist Church of Mountaintop, Pennsylvania was and is the "sending church" for this church planting endeavor. DSBC continues to recieve financial support from churches and individuals, but is on target to be self-supporting by 2012 or sooner, as the Lord wills.
